Retirement: Buhari, Idris, Adamu in crucial meeting

                               

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with the retiring Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, Daily Trust reports.
Adamu who is being speculated as Idris’s successor had earlier met with the Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Idris who was appointed on March 21, 2016 to replace Solomon Arase, attained 60 years mandatory retirement age today.
It is being expected that at the end of the President’s meeting with duo, a formal announcement would be made on who succeeds Idris as the country’s number Police Officer.
