Nigerian music producer, Cobhams Asuquo has narrated how Banky W refused to get paid for an advert he produced many years ago.

According to Cobhams who produced the advert’s song which Banky laid his vocals to, that single experience he had with the singer makes him believe he is qualified for the public office he is running for.

The first time I met Banky was in 2008. I was writing an Etisalat commercial and I needed a certain style of voice on the song. I thought of the fresh new artist who sang the song  "Ebutemetta" - BankyW. He was quite fresh on the naija music scene at that time, so I didn't know anything about him. After a few calls, I was able to track him down only to learn he wasn't in the country, but because I was determined to get his voice on the track, I stalled the project.

When we finally got into the studio to voice the commercial, we worked through the night and I was struck by how professional, hard working and good natured he was. He left quite an impression on me, but the biggest surprise was yet to come. 

A few weeks later, I called him to confirm that the client had paid for the job and I had a cheque for him, but instead he flat out refused the cheque and didn't want to be paid! He said he was just happy to have done the job. I was shocked. Why would an artist, especially a new one refuse good money for a major campaign for a big brand? I was absolutely blown away! But I was glad about how the story eventually turned out.  The client loved the 0809ja song and wanted to meet the artist who sang on it to see him and know if he would be interested in also appearing in the TV commercial. One thing led to another and that's how BankyW, a brand new artist on the naija scene, became an Etisalat ambassador and went on to perform all over the country that year for the brand. I would later learn that one of the ogas at the advertising agency believed so strongly that Banky would deliver on the commercial that he staked his salary on it. . 

Fast forward to the present, Banky and I have developed one of the most treasured friendships I have in my life. With him I am able to have tough conversations. Nothing is off limits. He's not ashamed or afraid to express brotherly love in a way that others may consider to be "uncool". We became neighbours at a point and it wasn't uncommon for Banky to pop in just to make sure that I and my family were doing OK, or to invite me to his house to listen to music. We have worked on several projects together and each time, Banky would always in addition to his own tasks, place it upon himself to make sure I was doing fine. It's become such that when I have to work with a bunch of people in an unfamiliar space professionally or geographically speaking, just knowing Banky is there fills me with reassurance that I will be OK. I recall a friend's wedding we traveled for. I didn't travel with an aide. Banky was the Bestman and in the middle of his best man duties, he would always come check on me to make sure I was OK. Now, at this point you'll probably think, "well, it's because he's your friend", but the truth is that he is this same way with everyone, not just myself. It is just second nature to him to look out for others. He is one of the most naturally consistent people I know and there are many others who would testify to this. 

It's a special kind of person (especially in a time where corruption, selfishness and greed have practically become cultural "values"), that can start with practically nothing as he did, and over the years grow it into the successful brand and string of businesses we see today without tarnishing his image; while also maintaining the same stellar work ethic and positive attitude that anyone who has worked with him can attest to. I know because it all happened right in front of me. He has become an ambassador to many brands since we first met, and one thing anyone who has worked with him will tell you is that he is always professional, good spirited, conscientious and always ready to roll up his sleeves and get to work. At work or play, he will always arrive a few minutes early or exactly on time, and give his heart completely to whatever he had to do. In an industry that's very ..."interesting" to say the least, he is remarkably selfless and truly believes in love, service, friendship, togetherness and the power of community over the power of one. He is and has always been all these things and more, not because of any agenda. It is just the way he is. 

In a time where originality is hard to find and is often called to question, Banky is one person I know to be authentic. I think that all of this makes him an ideal candidate for the position he's trying to occupy. It's not only about how I have seen him behave with me, but about how I have seen him behave with others. I see no reason to  trust any one other than one who has shown themselves to be who they truly are; and who they are across the board has proven to always inspire. This is one of the few times in our National history, that a truly good person has taken that brave, political step forward to try to do some collective good. He is a testament to what you can do with a little hope. So I'm hoping that this time, we will not let ourselves down. Yes, ourselves. Not him. Because we finally have someone who is not in this race for himself, but for you and me. We finally have a real chance here, one we have long waited for. We can give this position to someone who not only truly deserves it, but who WE also deserve to have look out for US and OUR interests for once as Nigerians. I support @BankyW as he runs for the Lagos Eti Osa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives in 2019.

The Russian authorities recently carried out a raid on 'illegal' Russian BDSM sex club in the city of Rostov-on-Don and naked strippers alongside their clients were ordered to lie face down.

Several reports indicated that Police carried out the raid in Vladivostok or Khabarovsk in the Russian far east.

One state-run Russian TV channel wrote: 'Footage shows barely naked women – and fully clothed men – lying on the floor, while operatives search through the area.'

A commanding officer was heard in the video telling his colleagues: 'It's a BDSM club, you can make it hurt.'

While another was heard quizzing a club staffer - called 'chef' - over the identity and whereabouts of the BDSM club's boss. 'He just leaves the money for us,' said the chef. 'He is not here.'

Although Rostov-on-Don police didn't reveal why they had stormed this sex club. But a source said: 'The BDSM club was stormed as long ago as 4 November.

Normally police raids clubs which offer escort services because this is prohibited in Russia.

'Also, when it happens police normally report it straight away.

France imposes sanctions on 18 Saudi citizens over the death of journalist, Jamal Khashoggi

Today, France imposed sanctions including travel bans on 18 Saudi Arabia citizens linked to the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.  

The foreign ministry announced the sanctions in a statement and also warned that more punitive actions could follow depending on results of the current investigation.

“The murder of Mr Khashoggi is a crime of extreme gravity, which moreover goes against freedom of the press and the most fundamental rights.

France asks that all light be shed on the manner in which such an act may have been committed. It expects from the Saudi authorities a transparent, detailed and exhaustive response,” the foreign ministry said.

The Presidency has issued a strongly worded statement rejecting former president, Dr Goodluck Jonathan’s claim that there is more corruption in the country compared to when he left office.

This is absolutely untrue. The facts on the ground today run contrary to his outlandish claim.

The statement said President Buhari in pursuit of the war against corruption, has set a number of local and international records, one of which is to call judicial officers in Nigeria to account. He is the first to set such a record. Not only that, this is the first time that top military commanders and Service Chiefs are brought to trial and convictions were achieved on account of corruption.

Also, this is the first time a ruling party is convicting high profile citizens including former governors, who are members of same party. This is the first time the international community is acknowledging the efforts of a government of Nigeria in this regard as manifested by the selection of President Buhari by the African Union as the Anti-Corruption Champion of the continent.

For the records, this is the first time a ruling party is investigating ranking officers of the administration, including some at the very top.

In addition to the many firsts recorded by President Buhari’s administration, the government has introduced a lot of changes, considering that the laws relating to the fight against corruption cannot reasonably be static.

In line with its aspiration to be ahead of the growing sophistication of corruption and financial crimes, the administration has initiated new legislations and proposed amendments to different sections of laws, among which are:

• The Money Laundering Prevention and Prohibition Bill 2017;

• Anti-Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Bill 2017;

• Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit Bill 2017 (NFIU);

• Proceeds of Crime Bill 2017;

• Public Interest Disclosure and Witness Protection Bill, 2017 and

• The Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Bill, 2017.

Owing to these efforts and support all of relevant stakeholders, NFIU Act has been passed and President Buhari gave his assent on July 18, 2018. The administration is currently working with the legislature for an expedited passage of the Proceeds of Crimes Bill to make the anti-corruption war more effective.

Nigerians should dismiss Dr. Jonathan’s hollow boast that he, not President Buhari, introduced schemes such the Biometric Verification Number, VBN, Treasury Single Account, TSA and the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPS). Of what use is the announcement of good policies without the will to implement them?

Since President Buhari assumed office, Nigerians are witnesses to the huge success recorded through the implementation of the TSA where some government agencies that had over the years remitted peanut amounts or nothing at all are now periodically pumping billions into government coffers. Prominent among these remittances include the ones made by Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Nigeria Customers Service (NCS) and Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

While it is also true that the BVN was introduced in 2014 to ensure that all bank accounts have biometric identification of their owners, the lack of will and capacity under Dr Jonathan stalled implementation. Today, BVN covers nearly all bank accounts. There are still some individuals who have shielded their identity and are now afraid of enrolling on the BVN platform as this will expose them and their corrupt actions. The law is going after them.

President Buhari’s administration introduced the whistle-blower policy as a veritable tool against corruption as it gives individuals an opportunity to expose corruption, fraud, bribery, looted government funds, financial misconducts, government assets and any other form of corruption or theft. Within six months of introducing this policy, over 5,000 reports were made through various channels, 365 actionable tips were received out of the 5000 reports. So far more than N200bn has been recovered.

As the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), said on Thursday, the former President does not have the facts to claim that there was any serious effort on the part of his administration to fight corruption.

As at 29th May 2015, when this administration came into office, the EFCC recovery account had only N19.5 billion as revealed by the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General. After one year of the new anti-corruption drive by the Buhari administration, this figure had gone up to N279 billion, and since then a lot more has been recovered.

Finally, as evidenced from a fleeting look at the book, the former President had nothing to say about his own achievements. If there was a recession, and yes we had a moment in it, was it due to one year of President Buhari’s government?

In his efforts to blame everyone but himself for his failures, Dr Jonathan heaped the blame for the predictable economic recession on President Buhari, ignoring the seeds sown under him through mismanagement and the process set in firm roots for the decline of the economy. Evidently, he did nothing to avert the situation.

As we have explained over and over, the recession in 2016 was caused by years of mismanagement and corruption. In the 16 years of PDP and earlier than that, the country solely relied on oil, the price of which was as high as 140 USD per barrel under their watch. Government simply reticulated oil revenue through personal spending by corrupt leaders, wasteful expenses and salaries; rather than investing in what would grow the economy. There was no investment in infrastructure as President Buhari is now doing in seaports, airports, power plants, railways, roads and housing.

The oil windfall for the country was mismanaged, and Nigeria’s greatest opportunity for growth was turned into a tragedy. More worrisome, there were no savings. And to compound the problem and compromise growth of the economy, the previous government borrowed heavily, owed contractors and international oil companies. When President Buhari came into power in 2015, the country had accumulated debt, which took it back to the level it was before the Paris Club Debt forgiveness. Nigeria did not have fiscal buffers to withstand an oil shock when oil prices fell to as low as 28 USD.

The oil shock should and could have been foreseen. When visionary Nigerians and economists foresaw this and warned of the dangers ahead, Dr Jonathan hounded such men as the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi 11 and Professor Chukwuma Soludo. Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance under Dr Jonathan’s administration also warned and she was rebuffed.

The former President and his party have nothing to say about achievements. They ruled the country for 16 years and what is their record on jobs, power, rail, seaports, airports and internal security, including the crippling disaster of terrorism?

Their attitude is strong, yet very sensual, regardless whether it’s a wealthy woman walking through a 5 star hotel or a young girl crossing the road at 7 AM rushing to work. Although may I say, Nigerian women do not rush, nor do they fidget, they simply glide. 

The way Nigerian women preserve their culture and traditions is admirable. They don’t chase international designers or dress according to Vogue, they wear beautiful traditional dresses, dance the traditional dances and do it all with pride!

American woman allegedly kills her 2-month-old daughter by throwing her out of a moving car in Bali

A mother from California has been hospitalized after she allegedly killed her baby girl by throwing her out of a moving car.

Nicole Stasio, 32, who had worked as a yoga instructor and health coach, gave birth to her child just two months earlier in Bali but she allegedly killed the child then tried to later commit suicide.

A guide and driver allegedly told local authorities that Stasio had been in Bali since July. Her parents had joined her for the first 10 days of her trip but they left before Stasio welcomed her daughter in September.

On Tuesday, Stasio  planned to return to California. But, according to her driver Wayan Siaj and tour guide Made Arimbawa, both of whom had been with Stasio throughout the duration of her trip, she changed her mind and asked them to take her back to the town of Ubud.

As they drove back, Stasio sat in silence before she allegedly threw her 2-month-old daughter out of the car. 

Siaj and Arimbawa told police they did not notice she had thrown the baby from the vehicle. Shortly after, Siaj and Arimbawa watched as Stasio suddenly jumped out of the car at an intersection in Denpasar, they told authorities.

Stasio was taken to Bali Mandara hospital to be treated. Her daughter was eventually found by villagers less than a mile away. The baby had severe injuries and later died at the same hospital Stasio was being treated at.

Stasio hasn't been questioned because she is hospitalized in "a severe state of depression".

It was revealed that when Stasio's parents asked about the baby's father, she refused to answer. It was also disclosed that she gave the impression that she was unmarried and her family preferred that she give birth to a child abroad, like they were trying to avoid something.

Police replies Saraki, says death of Offa Bank robbery principal suspect does not vindicate him

The Nigeria Police Force has reacted to the statement from Senate President, Bukola Saraki, that the death of the principal suspect in the Offa bank robbery, Michael Adikwu, has vindicated him.

Saraki released a statement on Wednesday making this claim after the Kwara state Attorney General revealed during the trial of the suspects in the April 5th bank robbery, that the police had sent him a letter saying that the principal suspect in the robbery attack that claimed over 30 lives, had died in their custody.

Reacting to Saraki's comment, the police in a statement released by its spokesperson, Jimoh Moshood, said Adikwu's death does not in anyway vindicate the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki. According to Jimoh, the remaining five suspects are the ones that implicated Saraki and not Adikwu himself. Read the statement below

The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to the innuendo in the media on the death of a sectional gang leader Michael Adikwu ‘M’ 30Yrs (A Dismissed Police Man and an Ex- Convict) who confessed to have killed Twenty Two (22) persons including pregnant women and Nine (9) Police personnel and carted away of Twenty Two (22) AK 47 Rifles at the Offa Police Divisional Headquarters during Offa Bank Robbery on the 5th April, 2018, it is therefore, imperative that the Nigeria Police Force respond to the publication and set the record straight.

The Nigeria Police Force is conversant and mindful of contempt of Court in commenting on cases already before the Court of competent jurisdiction, however, the Force is constraint and compelled to respond to the statement from Mr. Yusuf Olaniyonu, Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki and not on the Court processes and  proceedings on the case of Offa Bank Robbery for which Five (5) principal suspects are now standing trial in a State High court in Ilorin, Kwara State.

For avoidance of doubt, and to correct the insinuations and wrong impressions created by the statement from Mr. Yusuf Olaniyonu, Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki in the minds of members of the public over the indictment and involvement of the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki in the case of the Offa Bank Robbery of 5th April, 2018, from the confessions of the Five (5) gang leaders namely; Ayoade Akinnibosun, Ibukunle Ogunleye, Adeola Abraham, Salawudeen Azeez, Niyi Ogundiran arrested for direct involvement and active participation in the Offa Bank Robbery and the gruesome killing of THIRTY THREE (33) innocent persons, the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki was indicted by the Five (5) suspects who admitted in their confessional statements to the Police investigators that they were political thugs of the Senate President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Bukola Saraki and the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Alh. Abdulfatah Ahmed. 4.    The Five (5) gang leaders further confessed during investigation that they are political thugs under the name Youth Liberation Movement a.k.a “Good Boys” they also admitted and confessed to have been sponsored with firearms, money and operational vehicles.

Lexus RX 300 Jeep with Reg. KWARA, KWA 143 RM with inscription SARAKI on a sticker attached to the vehicle. Mercedes Benz Compressor Reg. LAGOS, LT 496 KJA, these two (2) Vehicles were used for the Offa Bank Robbery by the Five (5) gang Leaders. The first vehicle was later registered after the Offa Bank Robbery to divert attention while the suspects were in detention. These confessions were made before the media and the public on the 3rd of June, 2018. It is therefore, evidently clear that the Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki has case to answer in the whole matter.

It was also discovered during investigations that three (3) gang leaders who participated actively in the Offa Bank Robbery (i) Ayoade Akinnibosun aka AY (ii) Ibukunle Ogunleye aka Arrow and (iii) Adeola Abraham followed the Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki to Oloffa’s Palace when the Senate President paid a condolence visit to Offa after the Bank Robbery.   

Further investigation into the matter revealed  that all the Five (5) gang leaders namely; Ayoade Akinnibosun, Ibukunle Ogunleye, Adeola Abraham, Salawudeen Azeez, Niyi Ogundiran have direct connection to the Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki as a picture of one of the five (5) gang leaders when paraded by the Police was in ‘Aso Ebi’ (trouser) used during the Senate President daughter’s wedding. The Five (5) gang leaders further admitted that they attended the Senate President daughter’s wedding held in Abuja.

Consequent on all the above, a thorough and discreet investigation was concluded by the Police into the matter and all the Five (5) gang leaders namely; Ayoade Akinnibosun, Ibukunle Ogunleye, Adeola Abraham, Salawudeen Azeez, Niyi Ogundiran arrested for direct involvement and active participation in the Offa Bank Robbery that indicted and implicated Senator Bukola Saraki, Senate President Federal Republic of Nigeria in the Offa Bank Robbery are alive and now in Court. 

Michael Adikwu ‘M’ 30Yrs (A Dismissed Police Man and an Ex- Convict) who confessed to have killed Twenty Two (22) persons including pregnant women and Nine (9) Police personnel and carted away of Twenty Two (22) AK 47 Rifles at the Offa Police Divisional Headquarters during Offa Bank Robbery on the 5th April, 2018 was among the Three (3) gang leaders captured on CCTV footage and later arrested. Michael Adikwu ‘M’ 30Yrs was not paraded along with the Five (5) gang leaders now standing trial because he was taken out to arrest other members of the gang and recover the Twenty Two (22) AK 47 Rifles carted away during the Offa Bank Robbery.

Michael Adikwu ‘M’ 30Yrs was not murdered but slummed and died in detention while investigation into the Offa Bank Robbery was ongoing. It is also important for the public to know that the deceased Michael Adikwu ‘M’ 30Yrs  was not among the Five (5) gang leaders that indicted and implicated the senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, therefore, his death cannot in anyway vindicate Senator Bukola Saraki. There is a post-mortem examination result in respect of the death of Michael Adikwu ‘M’ 30Yrs.

The indictment of the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki from the confessions of the Five (5) gang leaders namely; Ayoade Akinnibosun, Ibukunle Ogunleye, Adeola Abraham, Salawudeen Azeez, Niyi Ogundiran arrested for direct involvement and active participation in the Offa Bank Robbery was not politically motivated as alleged by Mr. Yusuf Olaniyonu, Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki to the media, but purely criminal case.

It should be of serious concern to all, that human life is sacrosanct and  where investigation has been concluded and suspects arraigned in Court, judicial process must be exhausted and not hindered for the law to take its course in ensuring justice for the families of more than Thirty Three (33) innocent persons including pregnant women that were gruesomely murdered in cold blood by Michael Adikwu and the Five (5) gang leaders Ayoade Akinnibosun, Ibukunle Ogunleye, Adeola Abraham, Salawudeen Azeez, Niyi Ogundiran arrested, investigated and currently standing trial for direct involvement and active participation in the Offa Bank Robbery, than for any individual(s) or any group to attempt futile efforts and desperate distractions to pervert the end of justice is most unfair to the families of the deceased, the State and the society at large.

According to an eyewitness, the student, identified as Jennifer Agomuo took the poison after stabbing her boyfriend out of fear that she has committed murder.

“A student of our school has taken her own life. She was studying computer science and was supposed to graduate in 2019. She was in the third year.”

“She poisoned herself after stabbing her boyfriend.”

Sources within the hostel said that the deceased had thought that she had killed her boyfriend and out of fear she committed suicide.

Her boyfriend, Johnson, who was rushed to Federal Medical Center, Owerri, did not die. He is said to be recovering.

“She ate the poisonous substance out of fear that she had killed her own boyfriend.

As a matter of fact, it is the turn of the good people of Ezinihitte Mbaise to represent the two LGAs at the federal level and we shall not repeat same mistake we made in the past. It is a thing of joy that the people of Ezinihitte Mbaise have in abundance, well educated, trustworthy, vibrant, able and capable young men and women who have all it takes to represent Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Mbaise at the Green Chamber. Therefore, our people should be wiser this time in choosing who represents us to avoid having someone who goes there to only represent himself. We should do well to choose the best candidate who we can always see as the voice of the voiceless. We need a vibrant and competent representative who has all it takes to attract development in our communities and also promote youths/women empowerment. We are sincerely tired of 'excuse oriented representative'. We are tired of 'story telling politicians' and I believe this is the right time to correct our past mistakes. We need young and experienced candidate who can maintain his/her vibrance, love and humility after coming out victorious. We should do well to avoid someone who forgets us as soon as he/she goes over to the Green Chamber and only comes back to us during the elections. It is very unfortunate that Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Mbaise have been unlucky to have competent representative like other Constituencies. And the questions are: How did we get it wrong and how can we get it right? Though there is no politics without money, but we should do well to avoid 'money politics'. We should always take the money and not allow the money to take us. Because if the money takes us, our future is gone.

We should bear in mind that the highest bidder now might end up using the entire four years to clear his/her debt and therefore, can not attract any development to our communities. Therefore if u sell your vote to a candidate, bear in mind that you have sold out our four years. All we need now is to be wise in bringing out who shall represent the good people of Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Mbaise at the federal level because our Constituency is seriously lagging behind. Heavens will not fall if we produce a credible representative​ who can attract lots of development in our communities and LGAs. Imo State as I see it today is not what every promising indigene of the state wishes it to be. The Imo of our dream is an egalitarian state which guarantees equity, fairness and social-justice; adequate
security; socio-economic growth, development and other dividends of democracy. But unfortunately, we have usually fallen into the
incompetent hands of which majority of those living within the state are glaringly suffering it today. I therefore advise and encourage every Imolite, home and abroad to come together for us to save our beloved state. In the past, Imo State was always the first in education and sports development. But today, the story is different. Imo was the best in cleanliness, standard road network and other infrastructural development, but today, it is no more what it used to be. It is unfortunate to note that the well-functioning
hospitals in the state are owned by individuals. For the first time, Imo
State could not boast of pipe borne water for the past seven years. The good questions we ask ourselves are: How did we get here and what is
the way forward to liberate the entire state from such unbearable plight? As a matter of fact, Imo as a state has been handled by
story-telling, excuse oriented and greedy administration. We have unfortunately seen
ourselves in the hands of selfish people who are ready to do anything in
the quest for power and wealth.

Imo State was governed by Orlu Zone through Chief Achike Udenwa from 1999-2007. After Udenwa, Chief Ikedi Ohakim of Okigwe extraction changed the baton of administration.
For the sake of equity and fairness in the system, the next governorship after Okigwe Zone should have been from Owerri Zone which Mbaise is
part of. But due to
several issues in the state between 2010-2011, the
masses were only after a
candidate to take over power from Ohakim by all means and never considered its effects. This as a matter of fact, robbed the good people of Owerri Zone the opportunity of providing the next governor as
it were. Unfortunately for the people of Imo who thought the
2011 APGA candidate
from Orlu Zone was the right man or "Messiah” to
rescue the state, as it
has turned to a total regret to good Imolites. The candidate they thought to be a “Messiah” has finally turned to a total regret and
failure. That is why
the good people of Imo State, Owerri Zone, and Mbaise in particular are
under this predicament. The Imo governance should not be a family affair as it is today. This was not what the masses bargained for. But who says such a mistake cannot be corrected in 2019? Though there is
what I see as cheap
effort to rob the Owerri Zone and indeed Mbaise nation their opportunity come 2019. That is why we make clarion call to the good people of Owerri Zone and Mbaise in particular to rise against such conspiracy.

The good people of Mbaise are proud to have vibrant, well-educated, able and capable, God fearing and kindhearted men and women. We have men and women who know and understand the actual problems of the state. We are proud to have grass-root politicians who are capable of making
greater impacts in
the society. We have tested and trusted sons and daughters who really know the immense challenges facing our dear state. Therefore,
let us be united
in order to achieve our aims, because “divided we fall and united we
stand”. The good people of Mbaise should be wise and do well to present just a credible candidate come 2019 instead of sharing our votes as everyone wants to be a governor at the same time. This is the reason why we fail most of the times. Let us avoid politics of hatred and arrogance. It is a thing of joy that Mbaise is blessed with competent men and women in the political field. But there is
no way everyone will be a governor, senator, federal house of representatives member, state house of assembly member, local government chairman or even a ward councilor at the same time. We have better candidates than others, but the problem is lack of oneness. As the holy bible says, “a house divided against itself cannot stand".

Let us avoid witch-hunting our own brothers and sisters. Rather, we should emulate the Hausas or even our Orlu Zone brothers to always be our brother's keeper. Let us avoid selling out our own sons and daughters to outsiders just because of naira or kobo. Iro okpuru ulo akariala na ala Mbaise. Why do we always hate ourselves and prefer to love outsiders? 2019 is the right time for us to unite as a nation to produce someone who can develop our society like others. But with the way I see hatred and false accusations here and there, I pray for the good Lord to help us not to miss this great opportunity.

- Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has urged Nigerians to ensure that they do not hand over the nation and democracy to thieves and hooligans.

My good people of Ezi Center, the ball is now in our court. He who the enemies said will die and he finally died, should know that he killed himself. Let us forget party politics and do well to support our own brothers for Ezinihitte State House of Assembly - 2019. We sincerely believe a lot of our Ezi Center brothers and sisters have all it takes to represent us at the state level. Let us do well to shame those who think Ezi Center cannot produce both Federal and State Representatives. Hon. Tony Chinedu Nwulu (NWACHIMERE EZE) as we know him, is from Eziudo-Ezinihitte Mbaise, Imo State. At the age of 40, he is one of the most vibrant, articulate, humble, wise and intelligent young men in Imo State and Nigeria at large. He presently represents the good people of Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency (Lagos State) at the Green Chambers. As a promising and dedicated Nigerian, Hon. Tony Nwulu strongly believes in the growth and development of Imo State and Nigeria at large. He is God-fearing, humane and does not believe in 'do or die' political affairs. The local government authority in the state has been reduced to 'mere' appendage of the state authority. Funds are hijacked and peanuts advanced to the Local Government Council at the whims and caprices of the state government. His government by the special grace of God intends to resolve this situation. First, by respecting the constitutional provision that grants local government autonomy and second, by ensuring that all the allocations meant for their progressive development are not touched. His government shall guarantee a free and fair local government election as he believes this will be a prelude to the desired autonomy.

As a visionary leader, Hon. Tony Nwulu is determined to bring our beloved State to a greater level. That is why he has chosen the 'Mezie Imo' slogan to encourage every Imolite especially the youths to join the moving train for Greater Economy; Quality Education; Standard Health Facilities; Green Revolution and Food Security; Introduction of ICT and E-Governance; Tourism; Adequate Security; Massive Employment and Women/Youths Empowerment. My good people of Imo State! What else do we need from a good government rather than these? This is the right time for every good Imolite to support Hon. Tony Nwulu for greater impacts in Imo State.

He has gained numerous local and international endorsements including UN. Hon. Tony Nwulu has continued to work tirelessly at pursuing projects that would uplift the majority of the Nigerian Youths. Hon. Kemka Solomon Ibeji (The Great Philosopher) as we know him, is from Eziudo - Ezinihitte Mbaise, Imo State. As a matter of fact, he is one of the most vibrant, articulate, humble, accessible, wise and intelligent sobs of Mbaise nation. As a promising and well educated young man, he strongly believes in the growth and development of Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency and Mbaise at large. He is God-fearing, humane and does not promote political thuggery and touting. KEMKA S. IBEJI is eloquent and people oriented. He also has education packages and programs on his table for our students and pupils. He also has in interest in the redistribution of wealth through lasting empowerment programs.

My good people, we are no more interested in excuse oriented politicians. We are tired of story-telling individuals who think they can get our people through their fallacious Manifesto. Hon. KEMKA SOLOMON IBEJI as an honest young man, can not promise us Heaven and earth. Rather, he has about five or six packages which we sincerely believe are the major problems of our people at home. Lots of communities in Ahiazu/Ezinihitte still contribute money to repair or buy electric transformers, yet our people at home suffer total blackout most of the time. Non of our representatives volunteers to grade our local roads especially, during the festive seasons let alone influencing construction of a single road in our constituency. We are not castigating anyone, but it is good we advise our people to be wise and make sure we sincerely know what every candidate has on the table for us. We shall no more vote because of your political party. Therefore, it is good we let every candidate know that exaggerated/fallacious Manifesto can not deceive our people in any way, because we are wiser this time. We have really known those with genuine blueprint and those who are out for 'the more you look, the less you see'.

Being someone who believes in equity, fairness and justice, I sincerely can not support anyone from Ezi-West this time for Federal or State House because Hon. Independent Ogulewe and Hon. Obioma Ekennia are both sons of Ezi-West and have represented us respectively. It can also be clearly recalled that Hon. Vitalis Ogbonna as a former Chairman of Ezinihitte LGA is also from Ezi-West. Why then do we talk of equity, fairness and justice if we wish to support any candidate from Ezi-West for Federal House? He who calls for Equity should do well to go with clean hands!

What do we have to tell our brothers/sisters from Ezi-Center? It is very unfair and disappointing that the good people of Ezi-Center have been totally left behind in both Federal and State House positions. Therefore, let everyone from Ezi-Center do well to say NO to this. As a matter of fact, we expected the mandate for Federal and State House to be between Ezi-East and Ezi-Center. But it is unfortunate that some of our people sold out our mandates for their selfish interests.

We therefore, call on every well meaning Ahiazu/Ezinihitte man or woman to follow justice by saying NO to injustice.

Hon. KEMKA SOLOMON IBEJI is trustworthy and transparent. He can not be the monkey that finished the water given to him and turns out refusing to release the cup. He is people oriented and sincerely knows the major problems of our people.

Our people are going to disappoint most pundits this time because they won't vote or support candidates because of their political parties. This is the right time we encourage our people to do well to vote the right candidate and not political party and our people know this fact.

We are therefore calling our people to do well to avoid another wasteful four years. We have unfortunately voted wrong candidates in the past because of popular political parties. Let us remember that 2019 is the best time to vote a better candidate and not a popular political party.
